Mechanical Repair Technician 2
The Mechanical Repair Technician 2 is responsible for troubleshooting, testing and repairing a variety of mechanical assemblies for the textile industry.
Essential Functions & Accountabilities:
- To repair mechanical items in a timely manner, including:
- Chucks
- Godets
- Blowers
- Pumps
- Motors
- Rolls
Maintain a clean and organized work area
Complete work orders for all repairs
Assist in pulling and stocking inventory as needed
Operate forklift occasionally (in-house training and certification program if needed)
Pull part and manage stock levels for above repairs
Anything requested by immediate supervisor
Ability to independently repair a minimum of one category of mechanical repairs. For Example Chucks
Familiarity with Corporate HSE and OOE standards
Required Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
- Maintain a clean and organized work area
- Complete work orders for all repairs

- Pull parts and manage stock levels for above repairs
- Anything requested by immediate supervisor
Equipment to be used:
- Hand toold including wrenches, hammers and screw drivers
- Inspection equipment including calibers, gauges, test stands Hydraulic press
- Drills
- Grinders
- Pallet jacks and fork lift
Required knowledge, skills & abilities
- Must be reliable, self-motivated and willing to learn
- A high school degree is required
- Ability to lift 50 lbs.
- Must be able to communicate effectively and at different levels with internal employees
- Must be able to speak , read and write English fluently
- Ability to read drawings and parts lists
- Must have a mechanical aptitude for troubleshooting and repairing mechanical assemblies
- A familiarity of shop machines such as: bench grinder, lathe, milling machine, hand tools, soldering / desoldering iron, drill press, multi-meter, arbor press, hydraulic press and pneumatic screwdriver
Preferred qualifications
Associate degree or equivalent military or work experience a plus
Previous industrial mechanicial repair experience preferred
